The Caernarfon design was developed centuries ago by weaving masters in Wales, through their understanding of the intricacies of the loom they created an effective double cloth pattern. Majeda Clarke fell in love with the tradition and by effectively recolouring the design with modern pops of colour she hopes to keep the tradition alive. The Caernarfon Collection is woven on traditional powered looms, at a small mill nestled in a quiet valley in Wales. The Caernarfon Raspberry blanket is woven with 100% geelong lambswool which is ethically sourced from an environmentally conscious British spinner. This yarn is used for a lightweight and soft finish. All blankets are finished with blanket stitching using leftover yarn from the weaving production. The timeless Caernarfon design is available in six colourways.
With every woven blanket you will receive a signed card from the weaver.

There are very few working mills around the UK and yet they have a timeless appeal. Cloth woven in these mills combine quality and heritage whilst utilizing local skills.
Samples are woven in Majeda's studio in London then sent to the mill for small batch production. Classic geometric designs in fresh bold colours can be bought as fabric by the metre or as throws and blankets. Choose from one of four colour ways from the Caernarfon blanket collection: Candy Pop, Coral, Liquorice Pink or Mint
