Inspired by sleek modernist lines, the Albers blankets pay homage both to Josef and Anni Albers. It explores the simplicity of yarn through woven blocks interacting with colour whilst celebrating the diversity of weave structure. Through using only four colours these blankets take on multiple shades and tones that give it a sophisticated subtlety.
This collection is woven on powered looms at a small mill, nestled in a quiet valley in Wales keeping the tradition of the double cloth in Wales alive. Woven with 80% lambswool and 20% angora using wool sourced from an environmentally and ethically conscious British spinner. This yarn is used for a lightweight and incredibly soft finish.

There are very few working mills around the UK and yet they have a timeless appeal. Cloth woven in these mills combine quality and heritage whilst utilizing local skills.
Samples are woven in Majeda's studio in London then sent to the mill for small batch production. Classic geometric designs in fresh bold colours can be bought as fabric by the metre or as throws and blankets. Choose from one of four colour ways from the Caernarfon blanket collection: Candy Pop, Coral, Liquorice or Mint.
